Common Faults

Screen & Video Faults The most common faults with LCD Screens are Blue Screen, Vertical Lines, No Backlight or Smashed or Damaged. Screens are easily replaced and depending upon the size and model can be very cost effective

 

DC Connector DC connector faults can vary from the DC Connector to the actual power supply, we can diagnose and fix or just supply the item you require for you to install

 

Motherboard Faults Motherboard faults are very common and can be very expensive, we try to keep costs down by fixing motherboards whenever possible. However occassionally is is more cost effective in the long run to replace the motherboard, we will however, discuss this with you and give you all the options available for you to decide.

 

Broken Hinges and Cases Broken Hinges and unsightly cases may not stop your laptop working but look bad. We supply and install hinges and the upper and lower logic (plastics) to make your laptop look like new again.

 

Spillages Turn Off Immediatley - Spillages on laptops can be very expensive so try to eliminate the damage as soon as possible, by trying to remove as much fluid as possible. Do not turn on your laptop to try and dry it out as this can damage the laptop beyond repair. We will give you a full diagnosis of the damage to your laptop and a written quote for your insurance if necessary.

 

Keyboard & Mouse Faults Keyboard and mouse faults are usually the the result of a spillage or excessive force. The usual cure is to replace the keyboard, occassionaly it can be a motherboard fault either way we can replace either.
